Teaching@Sydney has over 3,800 subscribers who are staff, students, and affiliates of the University of Sydney. As of August 2016, it has moved onto a new, more collaborative and interactive platform. This is to support a key component of the new education strategic plan, which aims to develop a culture that promotes and supports outstanding teaching. We wanted the new Teaching@Sydney platform to support this by being a place where the many examples of educational innovation around the University could be shared and celebrated. If you have a Sydney unikey, you can start contributing posts relating to learning and teaching right now.

We invite staff and students from around the University to write about anything related to learning and teaching. Contributions are welcome in the broad areas of teaching tips, examples of educational excellence, news and updates, and teaching research. If you have an example of innovative teaching, an encouraging story of student engagement, an exciting learning and teaching project you’ve been working on, an impactful tool or approach that your students are raving about, we’d like you share it with the University.

This collaborative approach has made substantial impacts to learning and teaching culture at other universities, and we tip our hats to the Teche team at Macquarie University for their inspiration. The team in the DVC (Education) Portfolio and at Teaching@Sydney look forward to working with you to bring news and examples of great learning and teaching to the wider Sydney community.

How can I contribute?
