The Strategic Education Grants program is a competitive scheme to fund educational innovation and targeted curriculum development to deliver enhanced student learning outcomes across the University. The program offers funding of up to $12000 and up to $35000 depending on the project size and scope. Since its introduction in 2014, the program has funded a wide variety of highly successful initiatives in 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014 across the institution in undergraduate, postgraduate and open online courses.
The current round covers the whole of 2018. Alongside supporting projects for educational innovation, the program also provides funding for the development of key parts of the transformed curriculum. Funding is available for 5 types of initiatives:
- Educational Innovation
- Open Learning Environment units
- Sydney Research Seminars
- Project-Based units
- International Educational Collaborations
Staff who are planning to submit an application are invited to this workshop on 24th July from 10-11.30 in Chemistry Lecture 3 which will be presented by Professor Pip Pattison, DVC (Education), and Professor Adam Bridgeman, Director of Educational Innovation. The workshop will explain the types of grants available and:
- Tips and process for applying (including common mistakes)
- Selection criteria and how the applications are assessed
- Support available for preparing you application
