Apply UDL to design for diversity

Wednesday 11 February 2026

Join us for a 120-minute workshop exploring how Universal Design for Learning (UDL) can be applied to design inclusive learning environments aligned with the Education pillar of the Academic Excellence Framework. This workshop examines how intentionally designing for learner variability can reduce barriers, enhance student engagement, and support diverse cohorts to thrive.

You will be guided to cultivate a UDL mindset – one that proactively considers the wide range of learner needs – and will have opportunities to identify barriers within your own teaching and learning contexts that can be lowered or removed to enhance the learning experience for all.

This workshop is designed for participants at all levels of educational practice. We welcome all teachers, educational designers and support officers, and anyone interested in exploring how UDL can be applied to design for the diversity in learning environments.
