Rubrics and Canvas (with AI Rubrics Assistant)
Join us for a 90 minute workshop which will cover developing your assessment rubrics and implimenting in Canvas so that you can take full advantage of the efficiencies of SpeedGrader. We will look at the range of Canvas Rubric features for criteria weighting, setting up grade boundaries, providing feedback to students and how this translates to your Markbook. Introducing an USyd AI Rubric assistant!
This workshop is for you if you need to:
Write, develop or refine your assessment rubrics.
Get help implementing your rubrics in Canvas to enable marking in SpeedGrader.
Develop your understanding of how Canvas can support use of rubrics for student learning and feedback.
Learning goals:
Awareness of how rubrics can be used to support student development of assessment literacy.
Understand how rubrics can increase coordination and marking efficiency.
Understand the capacity Canvas/SpeedGrader to support marking and provide feedback.
We will cover:
Setting up Canvas rubric using your criteria and standards of performance
Using the variety of rubric weighting features in Canvas
Providing students with feedback in SpeedGrader
Canvas rubrics and your Markbook
Using an AI Rubric assistant
- There will be an opportunity for optional additional 30 minutes guided practice at the end.
