{"id":3912,"date":"2017-03-30T19:20:02","date_gmt":"2017-03-30T08:20:02","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sydney.edu.au\/education-portfolio\/ei\/teaching@sydney\/?p=3912"},"modified":"2017-04-10T09:33:08","modified_gmt":"2017-04-09T23:33:08","slug":"ed-tech-talk-peer-feedback","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/educational-innovation.sydney.edu.au\/teaching@sydney\/ed-tech-talk-peer-feedback\/","title":{"rendered":"Ed Tech talk: Peer feedback"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What are the benefits of providing peer feedback (online) and how can it be made even stronger?<\/h2>\n<p>Understanding the benefits to students who provide feedback is becoming more important as the opportunities for engaging in peer tutoring and peer assessment practices explode in the online space.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Peter Reimann, co-Director of the University&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/sydney.edu.au\/research\/centres\/centre-for-research-on-learning-and-innovation.html\">Centre for Research on Learning and Innovation (CRLI)<\/a> will present an overview of recent research on peer feedback and speculate on how learning benefits might be increased, based on explanatory models from the learning from teaching effect.
