Below you\u2019ll find a summary of what\u2019s new \u2014 including a refreshed Canvas site, and revamped completion pathways. You might notice this article looks a little different \u2014 we&#8217;ve styled it as a preview of the new Canvas site!<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"font-size: 28px;\">What is the MPLF?<\/h1>\n<p>The MPLF is the flagship professional development program for academic and professional staff at the University of Sydney that runs in three intensives over the academic year. It offers a flexible, self-paced suite of modules designed to support your growth \u2014 whether you\u2019re new to teaching at the university or looking to deepen your existing practice. Modules are either delivered in online or in-person sessions, or asynchronously (i.e., completed online in your own time). You can either (a) choose which modules to complete according to the area(s) of practice you want to develop, or (b) complete modules as part of a structured pathway (which you may be required to do for probation, for example). <a href=\"https:\/\/canvas.sydney.edu.au\/courses\/16284\"><u>For information on the MPLF and modules, visit our Canvas site.<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-size: 22px;\">Update 1: A refreshed MPLF Canvas site<\/h2>\n<p style=\"margin: 0 0 0 0;\">We&#8217;ve given the MPLF Canvas site a fresh look and feel, based on feedback from participants and best practices on inclusive and accessible online design. Though the original pathways were well received, we heard from previous learners that the breadth of options and similarities between the pathways could make it harder to know where to start, and some pathways saw lower uptake as a result. We therefore consolidated to two core pathways that cover the most common professional learning needs across the University.<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin: 8px 0 4px 0;\"><strong>The two revamped pathways are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Principles and Practices Pathway:<\/em> This continues to be our main pathway and is for anyone in the academic or professional portfolio involved in learning and teaching.
