Contributions to Educational Excellence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.sydney.edu.au\/news\/all\/2016\/08\/17\/celebrating-excellence-and-outstanding-performance.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vice-Chancellor&#8217;s Awards for Excellence<\/a> expand the <a href=\"https:\/\/sydney.edu.au\/education-portfolio\/ei\/awards\/2015_awardwinners.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vice-Chancellor&#8217;s Scheme for Outstanding Teaching<\/a> to a suite of awards covering all of the University&#8217;s activities and all continuing and fixed term staff.<br \/>Alongside recognising academic staff for<br \/>research and teaching excellence, the VC Awards also celebrate the contributions of professional staff to the University<br \/>experience and their central role in enhancing the educational<br \/>outcomes of our students.<\/p>\n<p>The expanded range of awards also now highlight the importance of innovation<br \/>in educational approaches with a new category aimed at<br \/>those who have developed or exploited novel technologies and those who engage students with authentic industry and community challenges.<\/p>\n<p>To reflect a culture of celebrating and supporting educational and research excellence, the Vice-Chancellor&#8217;s Awards for Excellence are now by <a href=\"https:\/\/intranet.sydney.edu.au\/careers-training\/vice-chancellors-awards-for-excellence\/nomination-and-selection-processes.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">nomination<\/a>. <strong>Nominations close on 9th September<\/strong> with the recipients recognised at a ceremony on Tuesday 25 October 2016.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The
