On Monday 10th<\/span> October, Professor Alison Cook-Sather<\/span> will be visiting the University. She will be giving a workshop on working in partnership with students to enhance higher education. The workshop will be an\u00a0interactive experience that combines sharing of principles and examples of partnership, with participants reflecting on their own ideas and contexts and discussing how they might put partnership into practice<\/span>.\u00a0Please register your interest here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Alison Cook-Sather<\/span> is the Mary Katharine Woodworth<\/span> Professor of Education at Bryn<\/span> Mawr<\/span> College and Director of the Teaching and Learning Institute at Bryn<\/span> Mawr<\/span> and Haverford<\/span> Colleges. Supported by grants from the Ford Foundation, The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations, and The Andrew W. Mellon<\/span> Foundation, Dr. Cook-Sather<\/span> has developed internationally recognized<\/span> programs<\/span> that position students as pedagogical consultants to prospective secondary teachers and to practicing<\/span> college faculty members. She has published over 70 articles and chapters, and her books include\u00a0Engaging Students as Partners in Learning & Teaching: A Guide for Faculty<\/em>\u00a0(co-authored with Catherine Bovill<\/span> and Peter Felten<\/span>, Jossey-Bass<\/span>, 2014) and\u00a0Education Is Translation: A Metaphor for Change in Learning and Teaching\u00a0<\/em>(Penn Press, 2006).<\/p>\n
