In a year in which teaching support has never been more important, the University Library is pleased to announce a transition to an enhanced Unit of Study reading list platform.<\/p>\n
Leganto<\/a>, which will replace the current eReserve system, will provide teachers and students with a more intuitive and functional system and a significantly improved experience.<\/p>\n After running a pilot with a small number of units in January 2021, we will roll out the new platform to all University schools and faculties for the start of Semester 1, 2021.<\/p>\n The new Unit of Study reading list platform has a cleaner and more intuitive interface, creating a better user experience for teachers and students.<\/p>\n A major advantage is that the new system is part of the Library Services Platform (LSP). As a coordinator or instructor in a unit, when you locate a resource through the Library website, you can drag and drop it straight into your reading list. You can compose your list very quickly with this function. Furthermore, using the Cite-It widget, you can add content from anywhere on the web, opening up the use of open-source material.<\/p>\n In addition to electronic resources being more easily accessible, Leganto provides better functionality in creating access to physical items, scanned files and AV materials.<\/p>\n Another advantage is reading list analytics: a highly sought-after feature, according to consistent feedback from academics. You will be able to use Leganto to track engagement with your unit material and update your list accordingly.<\/p>\n As an academic, the Library will support your learning of the new Unit of Study reading list system through a robust training program that will commence in January and continue into first semester 2021.
